Barney Frank Spills the Beans

Finally, a Democrat tells the truth. This, however, was purely accidental. Barney Frank got flustered, and simply forgot to lie. That happens when you can't keep your story straight.

Barney Committing the Truth

Here, we see him admit that the Dems want to increase government interferance, and, by extension, state power. Guess at whose expense that will be. It is rare indeed to see one of these assholes actually admitting this in public. We have Ralph Nader to thank for that, since he was the one who rattled Frank. Oooooooooopsie!

Frank and the Dems created the mess in the first place. What they didn't tell you is that this is the same asshole that was pouring forth an Amazon of bullshit about how financially sound Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac were, right up until the end. They don't tell you that it was Dems, led by Frank, that forced Fannie and Freddy to fill their expansive portfolios with "subprime" (Translation: junk) mortgages. Nor do they tell you that it was the Dems that resisted efforts to try to fix this fucked up mess while there was still time to contain the damage.

Now, we see Dems doing the same old shit: piling regulations on top of regulations to fix what their regulations broke in the first damn place. They had no business ordering banks to make these mortgage loans that they knew were bad. Too bad they didn't have the balls to take Carter's Community Reinvestment Act to the Supreme Court. Instead, they rolled over, and tried to defend their position via these Credit Default Swaps, essentially an insurance policy against default. This, in turn, created a whole new class of risky derivatives. They would rather play politics instead of taking care of business, the damn fools.

Obstructionism

Of course, their gold stars are a bit tarnished. What the Republicans and George W. Bush failed to consider is that the government has no business being involved in this in the first place. Nowhere in the Constitution is the Federal Gov't authorized to create and operate these "Government Sponsored Enterprises". Nowhere. They didn't go far enough: Fannie and Freddy should have been dissolved, and their assets auctioned off. It was improper from the get-go.

Furthermore, this outrage should likewise have never happened: American Dream Act -- that was the Bushster's doing.

This is why we so desperately need a viable third party.

I can get on board with that.

The hell with parties, we just need folk that are honest with themselves and who have a set of balls to ram a tire iron into some morons. =+{

An electorate that actually cared enough to follow issues and think for themselves as opposed to following the lead of the MsM would be nice. If more people had done that back in 2008, we wouldn't be in this current mess: no Barry in the White House, no neo-"cons" taking over the GOP.

Buyer's Remorse is too little, too late.

Looks like most of the folk that have visited that site didn't vote for the O and those that did are staunch supporters for the most part. =+P

I didn't read to far tho. =+S

That's to be expected. Obots are, for the greater part, mindless sheep who desperately want to believe. Those of us who had it figured out well before election day see no reason to reassess our position.

It's gonna be the longest three years in history until election day, 2012. Hopefully, we can get decent people in there to fix this mess, but I'm not exactly holding my breath on that one either. It might feel good to see Republican landslides, but it won't do any good if all we get are more neo-"cons". It'll be the same old shit under a new cover.

More and more, I'm afraid we had our last chance to save the Republic, and we blew it.

Nah, I won't say we blew it yet, I do believe we need to rattle some neo-"con" cages tho. First thing first is we need to equalize against liberal political professors that are teaching ignorance to the ignorant. =+S
